Maria Montessori said, "Nothing should be given to the brain that is not first given to the hand". Connecting children with nature is so important. In fact, nature inspires creativity and allows them to use all of their senses. Keeping this in mind and to further enhance their learning of unit of inquiry "Sharing our Planet" a nature trip to "Garden of Five Senses" was organised for our Nursery children at Pathways Early years GK. Nature walk to explore the plants and flowers around, collecting leaves, grass, flowers and twigs, touching and feeling the bark of the trees and examining the textures of the leaves using a magnifying glass all added to their exploration experience. Potluck, in this beautiful environment with their peers, added more fun to this whole experience. They sang their favourite songs and rhymes while enjoying their favourite yellow school bus ride.
